A vehicle collided with a power pole just north of Bermagui this morning, causing a power outage that affected 881 customers in the areas of Fairhaven, Akolele, and Wallaga Lake.
The outage began at approximately 6:40am. Essential Energy teams are working to restore power, with 700 homes restored by 10:15am, they estimate service will be fully restored to everyone affected by early this afternoon.
Essential Energy is reminding customers that a damaged power pole can create an electrical current. They advise people do not touch the line or an object in contact with it. Always assume it is live and report it to Essential Energy on 13 20 80 as soon as possible.
