Local SES volunteers sandbag Surfside homes

Another example of the great work the State Emergency Service does on the Far South Coast.

Not only yesterday afternoon did they warn residents of a street in Surfside about a forecast high tide of 1.8 metres overnight, a bunch of volunteers in orange turned up with two truckloads of sandbags.

SES Eurobodalla Commander Peter Collins said they came from the Batemans Bay and Moruya Units.
