An Eden woman has entered retirement in the best way imaginable after receiving a stunning boost of $200,000 thanks to a recent Lotto win.
The South Coast resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1585, drawn Thursday 11 August 2022.
When an official from The Lott dialled the New South Wales woman, she didn’t believe the winning news and had to rush down to a newsagency to check her ticket.
“Oh! Oh my god!” she cheered.
“I’ve just rushed to the newsagency to check if it’s true, and it is!
“If I didn’t check the ticket at the newsagency, I’d be up all night wondering if it’s real. I’d get no sleep!
Her winning entry of one random number was purchased at the on Mort Street Braddon Newsagency.
“I’m visiting Canberra at the moment, and I decided to purchase a ticket while I’m here. Canberra seems to be my lucky place!
“I’m retiring now, and I don’t have a lot of superannuation, so this is just amazing.”
The Braddon Newsagency team are overjoyed to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry to a visitor passing by and wishes them all the best with their prize.
In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
