Independent Eden-Monaro candidate Andrew Thaler has assured voters he’s all about telling the truth without sugar coating things.
The Snowy-Monaro Shire Councillor drawn at the top of the ballot paper for the House of Representatives at the Federal Election on Saturday.
The father of five from Nimmitabel believes the universe is telling voters what to do after being placed at the top of the ballot paper.
Mr Thaler is one of eight contesting the poll in the electorate.
The controversial candidate said he expects to pick up votes from those who would rather be somewhere else on Saturday.
Mr Thaler has attracted his fair share of controversy in the past few years including being issued with multiple code of conduct breaches from Snowy Monaro Shire Council and his role as so-called spokesman for the family of a 95-year-old Cooma nursing home resident, who was tasered by police and subsequently died.
