Pickle Bottle Hill Author Talk with Alex Nicol

Join Alex Nicol as he speaks about his new Historical Novel ‘Pickle Bottle Hill’.
Alex has been a storyteller all his life. In his twenty year career he has been a writer, an actor, a broadcaster and a rural journalist.
His latest work, Pickle Bottle Hill, is a yarn about our liquorice-all-sorts relationship with China.
The story begins in 1974 in north Queensland’s gold fields and culminates a hundred and twenty years later. The book explores the history of Chinese gold miners in Australia as well as interpersonal relationships in these unusual and trying circumstances.
