Justice of the Peace (JP) Drop-In Sessions

Need a Justice of the Peace?
You can now access the services of a JP at the Tura Marrang Library, this community service is free and performed by a volunteer. (Every Tuesday at 11:30am starting 18th March, finishing 24th June)
A JP can help you with the following:
• witnessing a statutory declaration
• witnessing an affidavit
• certifying copies of an original document
• certifying a person’s identity.
Before meeting with a JP, please:
• ensure that a JP is authorised to witness your documents
• have all your documents ready for the JP, and make sure they’re not pre-signed
• be aware that JPs cannot provide legal advice and are unable to help you write a statutory declaration or affidavit.
