Lifeline South Coast is preparing for its busiest time of year this festive season, and is reminding the community it is completely normal to feel isolated or unsettled at this time of year.

Heightened financial pressures as well as grief and loneliness can become exacerbated throughout the holiday season, which is why Lifeline has developed an evidence-informed holiday guide to offer understanding and support.

CEO of Lifeline South Coast Renee Green says crisis supporters will continue to be available 24/7 on the 13 11 14 phone service, as well as text and chat channels.

“The holidays can bring about a complex and intense set of emotions and can be especially difficult for those who have experienced a loss, are grieving or struggling with isolation.”

“The holidays can also exacerbate the intense loneliness many people feel.”

“It is really important that no one feels they have to face this holiday season alone. Please, if you feel you need support, reach out to someone you know or call Lifeline. Our Crisis Supporters will continue to be available on our 13 11 14 phone service as well as our text and chat channels, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” said Ms Green.
